American pop superstar celebrity Katy Perry has been confirmed as the ARIA awards’ big international name for this year’s ceremony on November 26.
Perry has been named as a “special guest presenter”.
It’s not clear either whether Perry, whose 2013 album Prism went four-times platinum, will walk the red carpet with stars such as 5 Seconds of Summer and Chet Faker from 2pm-4pm before the awards kick off at 5pm. The Channel Ten television coverage starts at 7.30pm.
Perry plays four nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena starting this Friday, then four nights at Sydney’s Allphones Arena starting November 21.
