Rachel Mcadams and Ryan Reynolds have been inducted into the Canada Walk of Fame at a ceremony in Toronto.
Mean Girls actress McAdams, who was born in London, Ontario, said of the honour, “To be recognised by your own country like this and to be put on this illustrious list of people that have come before is, I mean, is sort of beyond words for me.”
Reynolds, who hails from Vancouver, added, “If you could ask me when I was 16 years old that I’d be standing here doing this right now, I’d just be lucky and happy that I lived this long, let alone to have this honour, so I’m excited.”
Reynolds said of his sidewalk star, “It’s pretty exciting – I can’t wait to step all over me.”
Ryan‘s pregnant wife Blake Lively was not in attendance at the event – she was back in New York meeting up with her former castmates from The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants!
